I've recently been on a binge to play and review basically every game on Castle Paradox in chronological order of last update. This reminded me of something I noticed when it was changed in my own games (but as an active developer, I was able to change).

In many old games, sprites would be set to palette 32,767 which would generally not have been defined and thus solidly black, giving an all-black silhouette of the sprite (often a walkabout, used for a shadow monster or a script/textbox trigger).

During one of the palette updates (back when we first added default palettes or thereabouts, I think?) this behavior was changed. Now a lot of these sprites instead default to a palette consisting of the top 16 colors of the mater palette, even if no such palette is defined.
