That's not good. I think that a large number of GNU/Linux users don't have
LANG set to UTF8. I didn't until a few days ago. (After switching from bash
to fish I forgot to set it, and didn't notice for half a year. It took me
years before I set it when I was using bash too.)

I think it's better if I just delete these files to avoid trouble; probably
noone but me will make use of them.

I see git doesn't have a problem cloning the repo without LANG set,
presumably it doesn't attempt conversion, despite the fact that git is
apparently UTF8 internally, not agnostic about encoding. However, I see
that the mingw version of git does convert filenames from UTF8 to UTF16;

So I can check them into a git branch instead.
