Funny, that's the opposite of what I would expect (-exx adds a lot of possible abort conditions an a bunch of somewhat-dodgy computed-gotos.)

I'm not going to look into this immediately due to Callipygous. My recollection of using gdb on android is that it's quite difficult to get working. But maybe there's a useful message in adb logcat?

The Wobbler noticed a serious bug in the Android port. It seems that when it is compiled with debug=0 the battles always crash at the end of the first attack.

I have no idea why this is happening, but I temporarily went back to compiling with debug=2 for Android games that use the battle system until we figure out what is going on.
