Targets for chained attacks are recomputed only if the targetting settings differ from the original (including "Prefer Target" but not "Weak/Strong Stat" for preferred targets), or they are Random Roulette, as mentioned at #380 (comment) . But targets aren't recomputed if the "Can't target ... slot ..." bits or "Weak/Strong Stat" differ.

I suggest one of the following changes:

Recompute targets if the "Can't target ... slot" bits or "Weak/Strong Stat" differ, just like other target settings.

Recompute targets only if the "Can't target ... slot" bits differ, because "Weak/Strong Stat" is only a preference, not a restriction

As a special case, subtract all the untargettable slots from the targets for a chained attack even when the targets aren't recomputed. The "Don't retarget if target is lost" bit will apply if all targets are removed

Add a new attack bit to force targets to be recomputed so users have greater control.

In the case of (2), (3) and especially (1) we could add an attack bit to enable the new behaviour, or a backcompat bit.

It would be very helpful, especially if implementing (4), to preview in the attack chain editor whether the targets will be recomputed or not. And that new bit is a good feature to add anyway
