<p>I'm not sure if unknown downloaded .exe files are still blocked aggressively on Win10, but I just want to write about the Windows Store (apparently now renamed Microsoft Store). In the news, the Store in Win11 and soon on Win10 too will begin to allow non-UWP apps. (Recall UWP is a restricted win32-based platform shared with XBox One).</p>
