sliceedit: Left/Right (pick mode) hide/show progressively more of the tree

Replaces the old use of Left which was an alias for Ctrl-Left.
This is a combination of the effect of Ctrl-Left/Right and H to toggle a subtree.

Also, make - an alias to H.
