Thanks. The log shows axis 1 going to -0.992 while the program isn't focused, and then staying there, and then nothing until it goes back to 0 (meaning the real button-down event did nothing, only the button-up one). I find it strange that it doesn't go to -1. This is clearly an SDL2 bug and there's probably nothing I can do except block gamepad input while the window isn't focused, but it'll still be stuck when you do focus it.

Unfortunately SDL 2.0.16 was released soon before hróðvitnir and I didn't notice, so we shipped SDL 2.0.14. I can see there have been nearly 180 changes to the joystick/gamepad system between those releases, some look pretty major or relevant. Could you please test with SDL 2.0.16? You can get SDL2.dll from https://www.libsdl.org/release/SDL2-2.0.16-win32-x86.zip or by downloading a nightly build tomorrow.
