I thought I had added a shortcut key to enable backend debug logging, but I must have lost it on a git branch somewhere...

This could be the symptom of a more serious problem. Could you please run Custom with the `--input-debug` command line argument, then trigger the bug, switch back to Custom, and press a key to unstick the Up button. Then, without closing Custom (which would probably delete c_debug.txt as it quits), send us the c_debug.txt file? Also please avoid doing anything else such as processing other buttons or keys.
