I want to switch to FB 1.07+ pretty soon, so I can make use of "extends zstring" types to implement a utf8 string class. Ideally even to FB 1.09, which isn't released yet, for the related fix for [sf#666](https://sourceforge.net/p/fbc/bugs/666/), and various wstring bugfixes, which I might need.

I don't currently have access to a Mac (or VM), but you should be able to compile a recent git wip branch of FB, since my Mac fork was merged into FB 1.09 (though I haven't tested it, and neither has anyone else AFAIK, not even Jeff!). In order words, just `make install DESTDIR=...` with the existing fbc in the PATH.

For android you still need to use my android git branch; I merged in changes from upstream earlier this year.
