Changes to version strings:

-get rid of un-grep-able 'version' constant; add short_version (not quite the same)
-include the uname of the build machine
-in the prominent places (bottom of the screen) in Custom and Game, show the
 SVN revision, and the  backends we're running with rather than which ones
 we're compiled with (which is fairly useless)
-other changes to the strings
