This is now implemented with a 750ms delay. It works so nicely that I am not currently inclined to bother making the delay customizable at this time. It is barely noticeable except that touch controls on android now feel super-precise, and I probably wouldn't realize why if I hadn't coded it myself ;)

I am closing this issue
