Move allmodex gif recording routines into GIFRecorder class, derived from VideoRecorder

I did this to play around with alternative methods of recording, in particular
recording MPEG video, but won't be continuing on that soon. Turns out that
although gif is very primitive, only very recent video formats like h265 can
beat it for compression in the near-lossless regime.
