Well, the copy you already have is the right size, so I would just open that in
CUSTOM and toy around with it for awhile and then try to save.

It's mostly random, though it seems to happen most frequently on fresh
openings, meaning the first time I save and close for the day. The problem
significantly decreases after I've gone through the trouble of building a
recovery file and start again.

I'm usually working on it before it goes non-responsive. Not sure there's a
time limit on activity involved. I think it's locked after a couple minutes of
minor improvements in the past, but it certainly seems more likely to stall if
I've been working on stuff for awhile.

All the variables are random.

On average it'll take CUSTOM between 30 seconds to a minute to lump the game
when it's working. However, I've let the thing run for about 45 minutes once,
and it was still trying to close.

It also seems more likely to freeze if I work on another application while it's
closing, but it's not exclusive to it.
