egasimus, does this problem still occur for you?

I was wondering which version of the 32-bit libsdl you have installed? You
should have a choice of -pulseaudio -nas -oss -arts -alsa and -esd

On my own (32 bit) system, I am using the pulseaudio one, but that is
connecting to the 32-bit pulseaudio daemon.

I wonder what would happen if you match 32 bit pulseaudio sdl with 64 bit
pulseaudio daemon, or the same with esd, nas, or others.
