Summary: Need global keyboard shortcut to free restricted mouse
           Product: OHRRPGCE
           Version: Nigtly WIP Builds (Ypsiliform)
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P3
         Component: General (game+custom)
        AssignedTo: ohrrpgce at lists.motherhamster.org
        ReportedBy: Bob at HamsterRepublic.com
            Blocks: 683

now that we have proper mouse region grabbing (revision 3171), we also need to
have a way of breaking the mouse cursor out of the window.

When the mouse is grabbed, the window title must change to append a hint for
releasing the mouse, so it will read something like: "Game Name (ESC to free
mouse)"

Naturally, ESC is a fairly lousy button for this.

Virtual PC uses the right-hand ALT key
Qemu uses CTRL+ALT
Parallels desktop uses ALT+SHIFT
DosBox uses CTRL+F10

I am currently thinking that The Dosbox shortcut is probably the best one for
us to emulate.

For the Motherhamster project, Brian and I chose the Pause/Break key, but I
understand we have problems with that key anyway, which might make it a bad
choice.

And if anybody doesn't believe me about how important this feature is, just try
playing Spoonweaver's "Slimes" with the current nightly.

This is the sort of thing where I would be talking to my Mom on the phone and
she would say "I tried to play that game you gave me, but when I was done it
wouldn't give me my mouse back so I had to turn off the power."
