[Ohrrpgce] Serious bug in Quaternion

I just stumbled upon a serious bug in quaternion, which I checked
against Mike's WIP build:
Battles don't work.

I get quits, crashes, freezes, and, just now, my computer froze when I
tried to enter a battle. Has no one else run into this? Now that I
think about it, I don't think I've fought any battles since I added
the victory textbox patch.
